Professional bicycles are rented out, those who wish can bring their own and in this case, the villas have space for storage and any maintenance.
The service offered also includes transfers from the villas to the chosen excursion locations using either a mini-bus or a pick-up truck.
Lake Montedoglio is a natural basin among the largest in Europe, it has become at a landscape and environmental level, the dominant element of the Tuscan Valtiberina, a land rich in nature and history on the border between Romagna, Umbria, and Marche. Along the lake, there are dirt and asphalt paths. The paths along the right bank of the Tiber cross the "Golene" of the Tiber. The Tiber golenal area, downstream of the Montedoglio dam, has various types of habitats characterized by riparian vegetation formations, and valuable wetland areas derived from disused golenal quarries.
The banks and the riverbed are characterized by lush riparian vegetation and a prevalence of poplars and by scrubland of riverbed on shingles with a prevalence of willows. The wooded and shrubby strips also include alders, oaks, and common dogwoods. The abundance of waterways of the Tiber, regulated by the flow patterns, and the Montedoglio reservoir itself, as a result of constant releases of significant flows throughout the year, guarantee the maintenance of the humid habitat and contribute to the protection of the natural balance of the river environment.
The presence of numerous small lakes originated from extraction activity and the proximity of the reservoir create favorable conditions for the rest of the avifauna. The fauna is typical of wetland areas and river environments: noteworthy are the Marsh Harrier, the Kingfisher, the Cormorant, the Little Egret, the Mallard, and the flamingos in addition to the migratory birds that cross the valley in October.
